Stage 1

Rabanal del Camino – Molinaseca

Set off from a village of medieval character, pass the Cruz de Ferro and descend through mountain scenery to Molinaseca, with its stone bridges and traditional houses.

Molinaseca – Villafranca del Bierzo

The longest stage, through vineyards and centuries-old chestnut groves, to Villafranca del Bierzo, home of the Church of Santiago and the Puente de la Cárcel.

Villafranca del Bierzo – Vega de Valcarce

Trails through lush woodland in a green mountain valley, with stops in villages that have welcomed pilgrims for centuries.

Stage 4

Vega de Valcarce – O Cebreiro

The most demanding stage: a steady climb with panoramic views over the Galician hills up to O Cebreiro and its thatched pallozas.

O Cebreiro – Triacastela

Mountain landscapes and winding paths, past ancient churches such as San Salvador in Padornelo, to the rural charm of Triacastela.

Triacastela – Sarria
