Arrival in Sarria
Welcome meeting, handover of your pilgrim's credential and a full briefing on the route ahead.
Sarria – Portomarín
The first stage, along sunken country lanes and through oak woods, with the descent to the Belesar reservoir.
Portomarín – Palas de Rei
A steady climb over the Ligonde hills, between hamlets and traditional granaries.
Palas de Rei – Arzúa
The longest stage of the Camino, passing through Melide, the octopus capital of Galicia.
Arzúa – O Pino
A short, easy-going stage through eucalyptus woods.
O Pino – Santiago de Compostela
Monte do Gozo, your first glimpse of the cathedral towers and arrival in the Plaza del Obradoiro.
